Blenders Eyewear was founded in San Diego as an alternative to the expensive sunglasses that were dominating the market.
The company only used organic social media to sell their wide range of fresh, vibrant and comfortable sunglasses that are designed for adventure and priced to party.
The client’s goals were to convert more of their social media audience into customers while growing their brand presence.
The client's social media following was perfect for an audience retargeting ad campaign because they’re highly engaged people that are interested in the client's products, they just need that extra push to get them to buy.
We also identified Facebook and Youtube as being great potential channels for sales growth because we could demonstrate the value of the client's eyewear through video.
The first thing we did was was work with the client to produce video ads that demonstrated the value of their products over traditional eyewear.
We then set up an audience retargeting campaign on Facebook and Youtube, that showed these video ads to everyone that was following the client's Facebook and Instagram account.
The final step we took was to create a Facebook lookalike audience campaign that showed the client's video content to new potential customers that are similar to their current customers based on interests.
- In the first 6 months, Facebook fans went from 12,000 to over 450,000 and Instagram followers went from 8,000 to over 175,000
- 547% ROI on ad spend (for every dollar spent, they were getting $5.47 back)
